Driver Trainer

Location: Nationwide – we are interested in candidates all across the UK! Salary: Substantial daily rate Contract: Associate OR Zero Hours

We are now recruiting for a number of Trainers to work with us, delivering classroom training to the group of up to 25 learners, either broken down into two 4-hour sessions or one 8-hour session, with regular breaks.
Your role will be primarily responsible for giving comprehensive information, advice, support and guidance to answer questions related to shipment delivery, correct manual handling, vehicle and defect reporting, safety driving and on-road behaviour, personal and customer safety, traffic rules.
It would be great if you had some experience in these areas.
In addition to this, as one of our Trainer’s you will be responsible for:
  • Checking in and confirming attendance for each course.
  • Delivering PowerPoint presentations to the group up to 30 learners in a classroom setting.
  • Engaging with attendees on various activities during the presentation.
  • Assessing and ensuring that participants have the required skills to effectively and safely perform the driving duties.
  • Supervising of course participants, undertake health and safety checks for learners on programme.
  • Collecting feedback from attendees and prepare summarized review of each course.
Knowledge, experience and qualifications:
  • A good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to deliver accurate information
  • Must display previous experience in coaching / training environment
  • A committed, positive approach to encourage and support new and existing members of staff.
  • A good standard of computer literacy.
  • Instructor qualifications beneficial but training will be provided.
  • NRI qualification desirable, but not essential.
  • Qualified Driving Instructor desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in automotive is desirable but not essential.
  • Full driving license.
  • Ability to travel on daily basis to different locations (personal car mileage compensated).
