A Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make
As a Data Co-ordinator, you'll play an important role in supporting our Laboratories team, helping to keep projects organised, samples accurately recorded and technical reports delivered on time.
From booking in samples and preparing study files to maintaining laboratory records and managing archives, you'll work across a varied role where accuracy, organisation and attention to detail really matter.
What You'll Do
· Manage the archive room, ensuring records are stored correctly and maintained in line with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
· Coordinate the booking-in and unboxing of samples, maintaining accurate sample records and databases.
· Prepare GLP and non-GLP technical reports for our Industrial Explosive Hazards, Regulatory Testing and Electrostatic laboratories.
· Maintain the Laboratories Master Schedule and Globex system.
· Liaise with clients regarding sample and test programme queries.
· Support project administration, including sales orders, consumables and financial information.
· Coordinate the return or destruction of study data and reports at the end of the archiving period.
· Support reception duties when required.
· Work collaboratively across DEKRA to identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and customer service.
· Work with laboratory teams to ensure test results and reports are delivered promptly.
· Maintain high standards of health, safety, data protection and information security.

A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:
A typical day as a Junior Process Safety Consultant at DEKRA is varied, hands-on, and highly impactful.
You’ll support expert teams in delivering critical safety studies like HAZOPs and risk assessments, contribute to technical reports, and help prepare and coordinate client workshops.
From analysing data and modelling risks to collaborating with colleagues and engaging with clients, you’ll play a key role in ensuring projects run smoothly, safely, and on time.
Every task you complete contributes to helping clients identify and manage major hazards, protecting people, assets, and operations while building your expertise as a trusted specialist in process safety.
What You’ll Do:
· Support the delivery of key Process Safety studies, including HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, and risk assessments
· Assist in preparing technical reports, safety documentation, and client-ready insights
· Carry out basic risk modelling and analysis for quantitative safety studies (e.g. QRA, FTA)
· Help plan and coordinate workshops, ensuring smooth project delivery and client engagement
· Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver high-quality, on-time safety solutions
What You’ll Bring:
· A degree in Process Safety, Chemical or related Engineering discipline, or up to 3 years’ relevant experience
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly
· Good attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical reports
· A proactive, organised approach to managing tasks and deadlines
· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a client-focused environment
Nice to Have:
· Exposure to Process Safety methodologies (e.g. HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, QRA)
· Awareness of COMAH, DSEAR, or similar regulatory frameworks
· Experience supporting technical projects or working in a consultancy environment
· Familiarity with risk modelling or analysis tools
· Interest in developing expertise in process safety and risk management

A Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make
As a Project Controller, you'll provide independent cost, schedule, forecasting, risk and performance control across assigned projects or portfolios.
You'll work closely with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to provide reliable financial and operational information, constructive challenge and early warning of potential risks, helping ensure projects remain controlled, predictable and commercially sound.
What You'll Do
· Establish and maintain project baselines covering cost, schedule, resources and key deliverables.
· Monitor actual performance against plan, identify trends and provide clear variance analysis and recommendations.
· Prepare forecasts, estimate-at-completion positions, cash-flow views, billing profiles and management reports.
· Support Project Managers with budget control, revenue and margin visibility, work-in-progress, accruals and invoicing accuracy.
· Maintain integrated risk, opportunity, issue and change-control information, assessing potential cost and schedule impacts.
· Review project data quality, challenge assumptions and ensure corrective actions have clear owners and deadlines.
· Support governance reviews, project health checks, stage gates and escalation of material commercial or delivery risks.
· Coordinate financial and performance information with Finance, Sales, Operations, Consulting and resource-planning teams.
· Drive timely project closure, final invoicing, cost reconciliation and lessons learned.
· Contribute to standardisation, automation and continuous improvement of project-control processes and reporting.
What You'll Bring
· Relevant experience in project controls, project finance, cost control, planning or commercial project support.
· Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving capability, with a high standard of data accuracy.
· Practical knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, revenue, margin, invoicing and change control.
· Ability to translate complex project information into concise management insight and recommended actions.
· Confidence to constructively challenge project teams and escalate material risks with evidence.
· Advanced spreadsheet and reporting capability.
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across different functions.
Nice to Have
· Experience with ERP, planning or business intelligence systems.
· Knowledge of earned value or schedule controls.
· Relevant professional qualifications in project controls, finance, planning or a related discipline.
· Experience working within a PMO or structured project governance environment.

Process Safety Senior Consultant (Associate)

We are now recruiting for a Process Safety Senior Consultant to join the team on an associate basis
A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:
As a Process Safety Senior Consultant, your day will be varied and impactful, combining technical expertise with client engagement and leadership.
You’ll lead and review complex hazard and risk assessments such as HAZOPs, QRAs, and DSEAR studies, while supporting clients in embedding robust process safety practices across their operations.
Alongside producing high-quality technical reports and contributing to project delivery, you’ll collaborate with colleagues, mentor junior team members, and support business development activities.
Your work will play a critical role in helping clients manage risk, meet regulatory requirements, and operate safely and efficiently, making a direct and lasting impact on both people and performance.
What You’ll Do:
· Lead and review key process hazard and risk assessments, including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SWIFT, QRA, OBRA, and FTA · Develop and implement Process Safety Management frameworks and the different techniques/toolkits for delivery of each of the areas including PHA and Risk assessment, QRA/OBRA.
· Run audits of client PSM systems.
· Develop and implement Safety Reports and Safety Cases in line with regulations such as COMAH
· Provide expert guidance on embedding process safety across design, operations, and maintenance
· Conduct specialised assessments, including DSEAR risk assessments and relief/vent sizing studies
· Produce technical reports and support business development while mentoring junior team members
What You’ll Bring:
· Master’s or Bachelors degree (M.Eng/M.Sc) in Process Safety, Loss Prevention, Safety, Chemical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical Engineering (or any other relevant engineering discipline) supported by 5-10 years’ experience in Process Safety, Loss Prevention, Safety Engineering (directly or indirectly) as part of a manufacturing site or consultancy OR
· 10+ years of experience in a Process Safety (or equivalent) role with clear evidence of senior responsibility with PSM implementation and in-house developed expertise in the areas listed for the role
· Experience with developing scopes of work based on (internal or external) client requirements
· Experience in project management and task/budget control
· You must have a limited company with Public Liability and Professional Indemnity and Employers Liability insurance aligned with DEKRA’s minimum requirements or onboard through an umbrella company.
Nice to Have:
· Experience in Relief/Venting, Chemical Reaction Hazards and/or DSEAR/ATEX, is desirable, but not essential.
· Experience of development and implementation of Functional Safety (IEC61511) requirements
