What are we looking for?
We are looking for a competent Administrator who will work closing alongside the existing instrument engineer team in the area of goods/stock movement control, purchase order processing and hands on packing/job co-ordination on a fixed term contract up to December 2024 at DEKRA.
You will be covering maternity leave absence for an existing staff member and we would be looking to onboard you as soon as possible.
As a Stock Control Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting our very busy small, but growing, instrument fabrication and repair/calibration team.
Ultimately your role will include, entering orders onto our “Globex” SAP system (training alongside the temporarily outgoing employee is needed between now and December 2023 the role will then continue on a fixed term contract up to December 2024)
You will also be responsible for entering goods movement transactions on our system database, issuing stock components for jobs, carrying out stock movements and deliveries.
You will also be expected to pack goods into cardboard boxes ready for shipment and to liaise with our packers and shippers.
You will also be looking after shipment export/import paperwork and liaising with freight forwarders and customers.
This role is great for anyone who likes to keep busy and increase their knowledge in the above specific areas.
In addition to this as our Stock Control Administrator you will be responsible for:
  • Processing of orders
  • Goods movements in our sap (Globex) system
  • Liaising with packers and shippers, carrying out packing and then arranging shipment / dealing with commercial shipment paperwork
  • At DEKRA you will have access to a company PC and will be a competent user of the Microsoft suite of software (particularly word and Excel). You will have to answer emails to/from customers and perform purchasing, data entry, goods movements etc on our SAP system. A pleasant/diplomatic manner will be required when you liaise with any customers.
About You
We are looking for people who can demonstrate common sense and proactivity:
  • You will have past experience with SAP or a similar stock management system and will be used to order processing, goods movement/stock control/packing and shipping. You will be a fast learner because our system is based on SAP but with some idiosyncrasies which you will be expected to grasp during the training.
  • GCSE Grade 4 (or C) at English. Other relevant qualifications related to the assortment of tasks that will be carried out in the role, will also be an advantage if not essential.
  • Proficient Microsoft suite of applications knowledge
