Location: The job is primarily based at DERKA’s Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire office, offering hybrid working with a requirement to be in the office two days per week. This role covers all DEKRA UK entities and compliance matters across North and Central Europe (NCE) so occasional travel may be required. Lead Legal Excellence Across the UK & North/Central Europe

We are seeking an experienced UK-qualified solicitor to join DEKRA UK as Legal Counsel, taking ownership of UK legal matters while overseeing compliance and data protection topics across our North & Central Europe (NCE) region.

This is a highly visible, commercially focused role with both UK operational responsibility and regional compliance oversight. You will act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, balancing business growth with robust legal and ethical standards.

The role reports solid-line to the Lead Counsel, North & Central Europe (also our UK Main Board Director of Compliance), with a dotted line into Global Compliance and Privacy leadership.

The Opportunity

You will provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to the UK business. You will also ensure legal risk is managed effectively and that regulatory and compliance obligations are met across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

UK Legal Leadership

Provide comprehensive legal support across all UK entities, including:

· Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements (customer, supplier, partnership and service contracts)

· Corporate and company secretarial matters

· Support and advise on risk management and dispute resolution

· Coordinating and managing external legal advisers (cost and quality control)

· Monitoring legislative developments and assessing business impact

RCDPO NCE Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive compliance and data protection support to NCE region, including:

· Lead and coordinate regional compliance topics across NCE

· Support implementation of corporate compliance programmes and policies

· Advise on UK GDPR and EU GDPR matters

· Support regulatory compliance initiatives, audits and risk assessments

· Act as escalation point for compliance investigations

· Guide regional training needs on compliance and legal best practice

Stakeholder & Business Partnership

· Act as trusted adviser to senior leadership and commercial teams

· Translate legal risk into clear, commercially practical guidance

· Support cross-functional and international projects

· Build strong working relationships across jurisdictions

About You

You will be:

· A UK-qualified Solicitor (5+ years PQE preferred)

· Experienced in commercial law, compliance and data protection

· Confident advising on UK GDPR and EU GDPR frameworks

· Experienced managing multi-jurisdictional or cross-border matters

· Commercially pragmatic with strong business acumen

· Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment

· In-house experience within a regulated or international environment would be advantageous.

About the LEAN Analyst role:

Your initial focus will be on the Process Safety division (specifically LIMS, Consulting Operating Systems, and ERP workflows) before expanding your support across DEKRA UK, including Automotive and Shared Services.

You will be the driving force behind making complex processes simpler, smoother, and more efficient.

In addition to this, as our LEAN Analyst you will:

· Develop and deliver a structured plan to analyse and improve processes within Process Safety Laboratories and Consulting Services.

· Identify inefficiencies in current systems (including LIMS and ERP) and propose LEAN-driven improvements.

· Report monthly progress against KPIs, highlighting time savings, cost reductions, and headcount efficiencies.

· Lead the introduction of LEAN thinking across the UK business — including training employees to Six Sigma White Belt level and developing internal LEAN Champions.

· Collaborate closely with Operations, Training, Finance, IT, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment and shared goals.

· Work with the Global LEAN team to share best practice and bring UK operations in line with international standards.

· Ensure all work adheres to company policies, safety standards, data protection regulations, and relevant legislation.

· Deliver exceptional internal customer service, building strong relationships across departments.

· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and process consistency.

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.

· LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent).

· Proven experience delivering large-scale LEAN transformation projects.

· Strong understanding of process mapping, waste reduction, and workflow optimisation.

· Experience working with SAP financial/ERP systems (advantageous).

We are now looking for our next Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in supporting our Process Safety and Organisational Safety & Reliability teams.

About the role

DEKRA is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to play a pivotal role within our UK Finance function. This is a senior, business-facing position where you will act as a finance business partner, providing insight, leadership, and robust financial control to support performance, profitability, and growth.

You will take ownership of monthly management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, audit liaison, and team leadership, while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

This role suits a fully qualified accountant who enjoys combining technical excellence with people leadership and commercial influence.

Key responsibilities

Lead the finance team to consistently meet internal and external reporting deadlines

Produce accurate monthly management accounts with insightful variance analysis and commentary

Lead month-end and year-end close, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset control

Ensure all group reporting and intercompany deadlines are met

Prepare cash flow forecasts and support financial planning

Act as a finance business partner to P&L owners, providing timely and meaningful financial insight

Attend and contribute to Business Manager P&L review meetings

Analyse financial and non-financial data to support decision-making, profitability, and growth

Lead the annual budget and periodic forecasting cycles

Own the annual audit process and act as the key liaison with external auditors

Ensure statutory accounts are prepared and filed in line with deadlines

Manage and develop a small finance team (Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable)

Review and improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies

Ensure adherence to accounting policies and governance standards

Provide technical accounting guidance where required

Act as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team

Work collaboratively across departments to drive continuous improvement

What we’re looking for

Essential

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)

Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience

Proven experience managing and developing a team

Strong working knowledge of SAP

Solid understanding of core accounting principles, particularly revenue accounting

Confident communicator able to influence both finance and non-finance stakeholders

Proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused approach

Desirable

Experience in a multi-entity or group reporting environment

Background in business partnering within a complex organisation
